Tell us what happened after the move.

Use the optional Survey to record actual on-site times, box counts you know, and useful observations about the work. You can contribute without knowing every count.

Review the notes included in the submission, save your move, and follow the Send Survey confirmation and delivery instructions.

Once the move is finished, the optional Survey lets you record what actually happened. Times, box counts, and specific observations help MoverCalcs review its estimates and improve future guidance. You can contribute without knowing every box count.

Record the actual move

  1. Open Survey after the move is complete.
  2. Enter Actual Total On-Site Hours as elapsed time on site, excluding drive time. Enter pickup, dropoff, and extra-stop times in their actual fields.
  3. Enter box counts you know. Leave unknown counts at 0, as the sheet instructs, and explain missing information in feedback when useful.
  4. Add specific feedback about access, packing, delays, or conditions affecting the move.
  5. Review the session’s notes and answers before selecting Send Survey in the web estimator’s More actions menu.

Enter what happened, not the original plan

Use Actual Pickup Hours, Actual Dropoff Hours, and Actual Extra Stop Hours for those parts of the move. Actual Total On-Site Hours asks for elapsed time on site, excluding drive time.

Use decimal hours when needed: 30 minutes is 0.5 hours, and two hours and 30 minutes is 2.5 hours. If timing is uncertain or the crew changed during the move, explain that in Feedback rather than presenting a guess as a measured result.

Distinguish labor and elapsed time

The current Quick Estimates Total Move Hours field carries total mover-hours. Actual Total On-Site Hours asks for elapsed on-site hours. They are different measures; do not compare these displayed numbers directly as an accuracy percentage.

Three movers working for two hours represent six mover-hours but two elapsed hours. Enter the requested actual elapsed time and explain crew changes or timing uncertainties in feedback.

Add box counts and useful feedback

The box counts are optional. Enter counts you know in the matching Actual fields; leave unknown counts at 0, as the sheet instructs, and explain missing information if helpful. Do not include mattress bags, sofa covers, or other protective supplies in the box-count fields.

Describe conditions that affected the work. For example, “The elevator was unavailable for 40 minutes” or “We packed the remaining kitchen contents before the crew arrived” gives more context than “The move took longer.” Include helpful facts about access, packing, delays, or a changed plan.

Review what is submitted

Submission contains estimator session fields, including move parameters, Survey answers, and notes outside Customer. Customer sheet fields are excluded. Other notes can contain personal details; review them before submitting.

Save a copy of your move before sending. Then open More actions → Send Survey, review the confirmation, and follow the delivery instructions shown.

Send Survey uses the delivery available in the estimator. If it shows an on-page confirmation, complete it and wait for success. If it opens a mail app and downloads a file, attach that file and send the email yourself. An opened draft is not a completed submission.

If sending fails, keep your saved move and follow the displayed guidance. Do not assume receipt without a success result or your completed mail send.
