Moving boxes and furniture being loaded for a move estimate

Open MoverCalcs Estimator, select Quick Estimates, enter simple details and start understanding your move.

MoverCalcs helps provide smoother moves by collecting important information ahead of time.

No need to download an app. MoverCalcs Estimator opens in a tab in the same browser you are already using. Watch out: if you open many Estimator tabs or windows, each one is its own separate move. Use your browser tabs to switch between Help and the Estimator, and close extra Estimator tabs you do not need.

Getting To The Worksheets

Use the menu to move between worksheets. In the Estimator, tap the hamburger menu (☰) to open the full list of sheets—Welcome, Quick Estimates, Room Sheets, Truck Capacity, Billing, Payroll, and more—then choose the worksheet you need. On this Help site, the sidebar lists the same worksheets so you can open reference help for any of them.

Web Pages And The Estimator

movercalcs.com web pages (including this Help site) explain how to use MoverCalcs and provide reference material such as the Master Inventory List.

The MoverCalcs Estimator is the interactive workbook where you enter move details, take inventory, and review estimates.

There is no app to download. When you click Open Moving Estimator (or any MoverCalcs Estimator link on these pages), the Estimator opens in a tab in the same browser you are already using. This Help page stays open in another tab so you can switch back for reference.

Two Menus In The Estimator

The Estimator uses two menus, each with many choices. They sit in different places and do different jobs.

Top Menu Bar

The Top Menu Bar runs along the top of the Estimator. Use it for file actions while you stay on the current sheet:

  • Save — save the move file.
  • Save Report — save a report version.
  • Email — send from the workbook where that feature is available.
  • Help — workbook help.
  • Hamburger menu (☰) — the three-line icon opens Load, Print report, and Refresh.

This bar is for managing the job file, not for switching room sheets.

Sheet Menu

The Sheet Menu lists the workbook sheets—Welcome, Quick Estimates, Truck Capacity, Room Sheets, Billing, and others. Sheets are in a helpful working order: start broad, add detail, then review pricing and planning.

  • Room Sheets are for taking inventory room by room.
  • Room Summary rolls that room-level inventory into a whole-move view for review.
  • On a phone or narrow screen, sheet tabs may be hidden. Tap the hamburger menu (☰, three stacked lines) to open the full sheet list.
  • In landscape on a tablet or phone, the Sheet Menu is often fully visible without the hamburger—rotating the device can show every sheet tab at once.

The hamburger menu is the common name for the three-line button that opens a menu when everything does not fit on screen. In the Estimator, one hamburger opens top-bar actions; another opens the sheet list for navigation.

Where To Start

  1. Click Open Moving Estimator.
  2. Select Quick Estimates.
  3. Enter a few simple move details—you are on your way to understanding the move.

Open other sheets when the job needs them: supplies, room inventory, truck fit, billing, payroll, and more.

More Help On Each Sheet

Use the sidebar or these pages for detail on one Estimator sheet:

  • Welcome — quick orientation inside the workbook.
  • Quick Estimates — first-pass move facts and early totals.
  • Billing — rates, charges, and the estimated bill.
  • Supplies — boxes and packing materials.
  • Room Sheets — room-by-room inventory.
  • Packing — needs packing, already packed, and articles on each room sheet.
  • Room Summary — whole-move rollup of room-level inventory.
  • Customer — contact and move information.
  • Survey — notes and follow-up after the estimate.
  • Truck Capacity — volume and truck fit.
  • Payroll — crew cost and business-side review.

Master Inventory List (Web Reference)

The Master Inventory List is not a sheet in the Estimator. It is a reference catalog here on movercalcs.com where you can look up standard item names and their expected sizes. These are the same items you count room by room on your Room Sheets, so open it whenever you want to confirm what an item is or how big it usually is.

Practical Tips

  1. Keep one Estimator tab per move unless you mean to start a new one.
  2. Leave this Help tab open for reference while you work in the Estimator.
  3. Start on Quick Estimates; use Room Sheets when you need inventory detail.
  4. Rotate to landscape on a phone to see all sheet tabs without opening the hamburger menu.
  5. Save the workbook when the estimate is ready to review later.
